BCC Generic Scholarship Information

All students applying for Foundation scholarships must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each academic year.

For information regarding scholarships, consult the Scholarship List (listed under MATRIX) online or pick up a copy at the Foundation office.  The list identifies the scholarships available for the current academic year along with the criteria guidelines.

The BCC General Scholarship Application( BCC Generic Scholarship Application) and Special Application are available online, at the Foundation office or any local campus financial aid office.

Most Foundation scholarships require the following to be included with the application packet:

  • Copy of most recent high school/college transcript
  • Three (3) letters of reference
  • Brief essay of personal and professional goals
  • An application and copies of requested information must be provided for each scholarship that is applied for.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Completed applications should be turned in to any BCC campus financial aid office before the designated deadline date. (Please refer to the Scholarship List of deadlines.)

Full time – applicant must be enrolled in at least 12 or more credit hours.

Part time – applicant must be enrolled in at least 6 to 11 credit hours.

Foundation scholarship applications are reviewed by impartial selection committees.

Scholarship recipients will be notified by mail and must adhere to all scholarship criteria to remain eligible for the award.
